...
Klaske in 2010 competed at L5 - Graded.
She was always in the top 4 placings and collective scores over 60%.
We have retired her from competiton.
She had a huge following at competitions and people would merge just to watch her tests. We have been surprised how far she is known...; but her presence said it all.!!
She is one very special girl.
Klaske joined us in November 2009. We had known of her for many years, (well in retrospect her complete history), so when we saw she was for sale in the USA....she was with us within a blink of an eye. She is one in a million!!
Klaskes Predicates of “Sports” and “Preferant” are not easily achieved....but she somehow overcame that difficulty, and made it all look too easy!!!
Even with her IBOP score in her ridden test. That was an exceptional 84 points. Her score is classified as an "A" IBOP; and that is World Class.,
Klaske is the Ultimate “Working Mum”...
Klaske stands alone in Australasia, with her Studbook Status. She covers all the criterias there are for a superb balance. This is Unique.
Her Ster Status... for her looks and movement; Her Sports Predicate...for her Dressage Achievements and her Preferant Status for her offspring!!
She Again stands alone by having a "Sports" predicate daughter tooboot!
She has bought up 5 beautiful foals.....4 becoming Ster, making her” Preferant“ To produce 1 or 2 Ster offspring is a wonderful achievement; but 4 out of 5!!. (This is an Absolute accolade in itself!)
Her son Pieter S became her 4th Ster offspring
Securing her Preferant status. (pictured right)
Klaske is of Jakob (Sport) x Doeke breeding.
She is a super easy mare. Loves to work, just loves to be part of everything! Self loads onto the truck and at competitions, happy to eat her hay or go to sleep whilst standing truck-side.
You could put a 5 year old or 90 year old on her...and she would make sure they came to no harm.
Then put an expert on her....and she knows!
In time, we look forward to Klaske having another foal...but in the meantime, we are simply enjoying her.
Footnote: You remember conversations....that just stay with you for life. I remember talking with a breeder in Holland many years ago, and she said to me
“You understand the studbook, and the grading of mares”. “You can have a ster mare, a Model mare....but that is a grading on the mares exterior and movement only. They may produce nothing”
“A Preferant mare, she becomes above even Model, as she has passed on her qualities to her offspring and not kept them for herself”.
“You understand what I am saying?"
